Simulation Project Title Modelling time perception networks.
Type of model Systems model
Description My project is to model the large-scale cerebral networks involved in the perception of time. To do that, Florent Aubry, researcher in U825, is willing to lend me the data (fMRI and EEG measurements) that he and his team collected while investigating the importance of movement in time perception. The aim is to design a large-scale network simulation that can reproduce the activation maps observed with fMRI. The simulation would then be used to validate or not some hypotheses on time perception.
Why complementary My PhD is on designing a modelling framework for large-scale cerebral network. Most of the theoretical effort has been done and now I am more interested in experimental validations. This project is thus a natural complement to my work since it will allow a comparison between my own modelling framework and more classical modelling approaches that I will use during the course. Besides, this project is likely to provide me with a healthy perspective on other large-scale modelling techniques.
