EU Advanced Course in Computational Neuroscience.
August 23 - September 17, 1999
International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy
Course Support
The 1999 EU Advanced Course in Computational Neuroscience was supported by the European Commission (4th Framework Biotechnology program), by the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (Trieste), by the Boehringer Ingelheim Foundation and by The Brain Science Foundation (Tokyo).
A total of 32 students were accepted. Students of any nationality could apply, but the majority of accepted students were from the European Union and affiliated countries (Iceland, Israel, Liechtenstein and Norway). These students were supported by the European Commission and we specifically encourage applications from researchers who work in less-favoured regions of the EU, from women and from researchers from industry. The ICTP supported participation from students of non-Western countries, while The Brain Science Foundation supported Japanese students. Students receiving support from the mentioned sources received travel grants and free full board at the Adriatico Guest House.
