ORGANIZATION:
Jaap van Pelt, Harry B.M. Uylings, Jan Bjaalie

OBJECTIVES:
This workshop will consider recent advances in
neuroinformatics tools for three-dimensional reconstruction
of neuronal arborizations, quantification and analysis of
neuronal shapes, modeling neuronal morphological complexity,
and experimental approaches to resolving neural circuits.
Emphasis will be given to new developments in digital image
analysis procedures, user interfaces, and neuro-informatics
data-bases.

The workshop aims at bringing together neuroscientists (both
experimental and computational), information technologists
and any other researcher interested in Quantitative
Neuroanatomy. As such it will contribute to the primary
objective of the Thematic Network to promote the field of
Computational Neuroscience and Neuroinformatics and to start
building an European Neuroinformatics Infrastructure.

PROGRAM includes presentations on:
Three-dimensional neuronal reconstruction
Digital image acquisition, processing and 3D reconstruction
Quantification and diversity in neuronal branching patterns
Modeling neuronal morphology
Tools for revealing anatomical networks
