TWO POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Computational Neuroscience / Sensory Neuroethology

Two postdoctoral positions are available to study mechanisms
and principles of neural coding and adaptive sensory processing
in weakly electric fish. Our NSF and NIMH funded research program
addresses basic neuroscience issues using a combination of behavioral,
electrophysiological, and computational approaches.

We are seeking two individuals with interests and expertise in
the following areas: in vivo electrophysiology, neural modeling,
signal processing, and information theory. Research will be
carried out in a large multidisciplinary research facility, the
Beckman Institute at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign

The starting date is flexible (2001-2002). More background
