an excellent new NEURON tutorial!

It is my distinct pleasure to announce that Andrew Gillies
and David Sterratt of Edinburgh University have created a
new tutorial about NEURON that you will find at
  http://www.anc.ed.ac.uk/school/neuron

This is based on the earlier tutoral written by Kevin Martin,
but covers a host of new topics and reflects important changes
to NEURON over the years. Items of particular interest include
--the use of templates to define new cell classes
--efficient and convenient management of networks with the
  NetCon Class
--combined use of hoc code and the GUI
--adding new mechanisms

David and Andrew have worked with us to try to ensure that
their new tutorial is clear and up-to-date, remaining
tractable for entry-level users while at the same time
discussing topics that may be new to more advanced users.
