The Department of Biology at Emory University seeks a
neuroscientist for a tenure track position as assistant professor.
The candidate must have a Ph.D and a strong record of research
productivity at the postdoctoral level and/or above and must have a
commitment to undergraduate teaching and graduate student
training. Preference will be given to those who combine
computational and experimental approaches in their research, and
we encourage applications from those working at the cellular,
systems, or behavioral level.
There is strong interdepartmental undergraduate major in
Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology
(www.emory.edu/COLLEGE/NBB) and a strong interdepartmental
graduate program in Neuroscience
(www.emory.edu/NEUROSCIENCE) in which the successful
candidate will be expected to participate. There are also
opportunities for research and graduate training interactions through
the joint Emory - Georgia Tech Department of Biomedical
Engineering (www.bme.gatech.edu) and through the Center for
Behavioral Neuroscience (www.cbn-atl.org). Substantial
departmental laboratory space and financial support for research
start up will be made available.
