We invite applications for a three year Ph.D. studentship in the field
of Computational Neuroscience / Neuroinformatics as part of the
Neuroscience Graduate School at the University of Düsseldorf. The
project focuses on the integration of connectivity, receptor and
electrophysiological data for simulating activity propagation in
cortical circuits (see Nature Rev. Neurosci. 3: 606-616, 2002; J.
Neurosci. 23: 2961-2970, 2003). Good programming skills (Matlab, Java,
databases) and basic neuroscience knowledge are essential. The Graduate
School provides additional seminars, lectures and meetings.
