Dear all,
The Organization for Computational Neurosciences (CNS) hereby requests
proposals from candidate local organizers in Europe to organize CNS*2006.
After the highly successful 2003 meeting in Alicante, Spain, the CNS meeting
will return to North America for the years 2004 (Baltimore, MD) and 2005
(Madison, WI) and then return to Europe in 2006.
Groups or individuals interested in organizing CNS 2006 in Europe should send
in a short proposal (2-3 pages) including details like: proposed period (best
in July, some notes on usual weather in that period), proposed conference site
(including short description of plus and minus points + estimate of cost;
should have seating place for ~500 people), Institutional involvement (who will
handle money), possible local/national funding sources, proposed accommodations
(including short description of plus and minus points + estimate of rates,
special student accommodation?), transport situation, general attractions of
the place + possible locations for banquet and/or rock-n-roll party.
The CNS board, executive committee and program committee will select/discuss
the different proposals, contact that potential organizers for more information
and aim to make a timely decisions.
