How might I obtain information regarding student travel funds to CNS 95? I
will be submitting abstract/summary and requesting a poster presentation.
Thanks.

As others may be interested in this information, I think that a response to
the mailing list is warranted. In general, information about
Computation and Neural Systems '95 may be found from either:

o The CNS*95 WWW server: http://www.bbb.caltech.edu/cns95.html
o ftp to 131.215.137.69: cns95
o email to cns95@smaug.bbb.caltech.edu

[Reminder: The deadline for abstracts is Jan 25. The conference is
July 11 - 15, 1995 in Monterey, California.]

Specifically, the information on travel grants is:

CNS*95
support for travel

In past years, support from the National Science Foundation has
allowed the meeting organizers to offer some participants funds to
attend the meeting.

If support is made available this year, priority will be given to
students and postdoctoral fellows who are authors on papers. In
past years, support has also been available for others as well. Last
year, all requests were able to be honored.

While the total size of grants will depend on the number of requests,
last year the following grants were given:

local (west coast this year) $200
middle distance $300
distant (east coast, overseas) $400

If travel grants are available, the necessary forms will be filled out
during meeting registration which checks mailed shortly after the
end of the meeting.

Interest in travel grants should be indicated in the appropriate
location on the registration form. Early registration is advised for
this reason.
