******************************************************************************

Computational Neuroscience 1995 (CNS*95) will be held July 11 - 15, 1995 in
Monterey, California. This is the fourth annual meeting of an
interdisciplinary conference intended to address the broad range of research
approaches and issues involved in the field of computational neuroscience.
This mailing contains important updated information on this year's meeting.

**Program and Paper review**

A total of 135 original research papers were submitted to this year's
meeting (up 15%) on a broad range of topics relevent to computational
neuroscience. Each of these papers has now been reviewed. The program
committee will meet the end of next week (May 4th) to organize the program
based on these reviews. This year's program will be posted on the CNS*95 ftp
and WWW sites by May 9th. Official notification and registration material
will be sent to corresponding authors during the week of the 8th via regular
surface mail.

**Meeting information and Advanced Registration**

Registration is now open for CNS*95. However, due to a network
re-organization at Caltech, the Internet address for the host though which
CNS*95 information and registration occurs has been changed.

**Changes in the internet**

As some of you are no doubt aware, the NSFNET backbone, long the primary
backbone of the Internet, is scheduled to be dismantled and replaced by the
end of this month. Transition activities will begin as soon as tomorrow,
April 28.

While all assurances have been made that these changes will not be
disruptive, it is reasonable to expect some instability to the network. The
instability could be progressive. For this reason, if you intend to
register for the meeting electronically, we would encourage you to do so as
soon as possible.
