We have a Masters student doing a small summer project looking at
different approaches to neurobiological modelling. As an example
of a model she would like some sort of model of a motor neuron,
at what ever level of detail. There is no time within the project
to develop a model from scratch, so if anyone is willing to donate
a model, particularly one that runs in GENESIS, we would be most
grateful. Alternatively, pointers to suitable references would
be useful. We have looked at, for example
Powers, R (1993) A variable-threshold motoneuron model that
incorporates time- and voltage-dependent potassium and calcium
conductances. J. Neurophysiology 70(1):246-262
Heckman, C.J. and Binder, M.D. (1993) Computer simulations of the
effects of different synaptic input systems on motor unit recruitment.
J. Neurophysiology 70(5):1827-1840
