POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
COMPUTATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE
OHIO UNIVERSITY

A postdoctoral position is available at Ohio University to study
computation and synaptic modification in hippocampal dentate granule
cells. A major objective is to construct models of granule cells
that can reproduce computational features of these cells including the
experimental observations of LTP and LTD. Mathematical and computational
modeling will proceed at several levels from highly detailed models of
individual cells, to models of dendritic spines and synapses, to models
involving biochemical reaction equations.

Candidates should have experience in computational modeling. The
position is available for 2 years. Salary is commensurate with
experience and NIH guidelines. Ohio University is an equal opportunity
employer.

Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a statement of research
interests and the names and addresses of three references to:
William R. Holmes, Dept. Biological Sciences, Ohio University,
Athens, OH 45701. e-mail: wholmes1@ohiou.edu.
