Hi,
One math book that I recommend is :
Nonlinear Dynamics and Chaos (With Applications to Physics, Biology,
Chemistry, and Engineering) by Steven H. Strogatz. Addison-Wesley
Publishing Co., New York, 1994.

It is very good for an introduction to non-linear dynamics with lots
of exercises for applications.

Also, I would like to receive the compiled list of books from you. Maybe you
could post it on the comp-neuro mailing list too.
