Neuroscientists/engineers with a research interest in human cerebral
cortex physiology

Subject:
A research scientist position will be opening up this summer at the
University of Iowa. Our research group is studying normal human brain
physiology using a variety of direct recording/stimulation methods in
awake neurosurgical patients. We are particularly interested in
understanding the cortical mechanisms involved in processing of acoustic
signals including speech sounds. The group is multi-disciplinary, and
multi-institutional, involving investigators from the U. Iowa, U.
Wisconsin, Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

We will be hiring an individual with a PhD who has experience and skills
in electrophysiology instrumentation and experimental methods, signal
processing and computer programing. The appointment will be in the
division of neurosurgery and secure long term funding is available.
Individuals who are interested in learning more about this opportunity
should e-mail me at mhoward@surgery.uiowa.edu.
