NEUROPHYSIOLOGY AND COMPUTATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE.
Positions are available for use of any of the following
techniques:
1. Whole cell patch recording from visualized neurons in
slice preparations of rat hippocampal regions CA3 and CA1 and
piriform cortex for studying laminar selectivity of modulatory
influences.
2. Field potential and unit recording in awake behaving
rats for study of modulatory changes in network dynamics.
3. Development of network compartmental biophysical simulations
of hippocampal regions CA3 and CA1 and entorhinal cortex to
study modulatory regulation of cortical dynamics for encoding and
consolidation.
