A 2 year postdoctoral position in movement neuroscience is available at the
MRC Human Movement and Balance Unit, Queen Sq, London. The project is funded
by SmithKline Beecham. The successful candidate will work with Dr P. Brown
and Dr M. Cassidy, who are developing experimental and theoretical
techniques to determine electrophysiological correlates of short time
movements in healthy controls, Parkinsonian and schizophrenic patients.
Potential research topics for development include nonstationary data
analysis and biologically realistic neuronal networks. Applicants should
have strong programming skills and an interest in clinical neuroscience. The
post will also require familiarity with Linux and the setting up and
administration of a small network for parallel computational tasks. Start
date is 1st October 2000. Send CV, covering letter, any relevant reprints/
