TRAINING IN COMPLEX SYSTEMS & BRAIN SCIENCES

                   FLORIDA ATLANTIC UNIVERSITY

Applications are currently being accepted for interdisciplinary graduate
training under the joint mentorship of Drs. Steven L. Bressler and
Mingzhou Ding. The training program takes a combined
computational/experimental approach to the study of neural and cognitive
function. Research opportunities exist for the study of cognitive brain
function through the multivariate statistical analysis of Event-Related
Potential (ERP) and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) data.
Students will have access to the MRI facilities of University MRI of Boca
Raton through a collaboration with Dr. Fred Steinberg. Training will take
place under the auspices of The National Training Program in Complex
Systems and the Brain Sciences at Florida Atlantic University
(http://www.ccs.fau.edu/program.htm), which offers a breadth of research
and training in the neural, cognitive, and computational sciences. The
program also offers competitive, multi-year stipends and tuition
remission.

Interested students are encouraged to visit the Center's web site at:
