EXPERIMENTAL & COMPUTATIONAL NEUROSCIENCE POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
Expertise in electrophysiology required, with modeling experience
desirable. The project is to fully characterize a small neuronal network
(the pyloric network of the stomatogastric system) biophysically (yrs
1-3) and implement it in a computer model (yrs. 4, 5) as part of a
multidisciplinary network of labs and researchers. One year to be
performed at Ohio University in Athens, OH and remaining years at
Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. Athens is located in the Hocking
Hills in Southeastern Ohio; it has all the cultural and social amenities
of a university town as well as extensive recreational opportunities in
the many nearby state parks and nature preserves. Newark has all the
amenities of a large urban center, and is only 15 min from Manhattan,
NY. Minimum three-year commitment. Salary negotiable, minimum $30,000.
