Mon Jan 15 18:35:44 CET 2007

A postdoctoral position is immediately available in the lab of Dieter
Jaeger at Emory University to study synaptic integration in the basal
ganglia through slice physiology and computer simulations. State of the
art equipment is available for fast calcium imaging and real-time
feedback recording methods such as dynamic clamping. The goal of this
predominantly electrophysiological project is to allow the construction
of biologically realistic models of dendritic integration and neural
dynamics at the output stage of the basal ganglia in a collaborative
team. See http://www.biology.emory.edu/research/Jaeger for previous
projects in the lab.

Requirements: A PhD in neuroscience or similar with experience in whole
cell recordings from brain slices.

Potential candidates please e-mail vita and statement of research
interest to djaeger at emory.edu.
