Bioengineering at Imperial conducts world-leading research and was awarded a 5*

<div class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">We have two BBSRC-funded
studentships (one standard and one CASE) as well as other
project-specific research council studentships and possibly additional
department-funded studentships, available to start in <b>October 2008</b></span><span style="color:black">. The BBSRC CASE studentship will be industry
supported.<o:p></o:p></span></div>

<div class="MsoNormal"><b>Eligibility/Duration <o:p></o:p></b></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">BBSRC studentships are open to UK and EU candidates, who
have been ordinarily resident in the UK for at least 3 years and will cover full
fees and stipend for 4 years.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </span>The
same eligibility criteria will apply to project specific studentships but the
duration may vary depending on the source of funding.<span style="mso-spacerun:
yes"> </span>Departmental studentships are open to UK candidates and EU
nationals and cover fees and stipend for 3 years.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal">Candidates for all studentships should have, or expect to
obtain, at least a good 2.1 in a relevant first degree (or equivalent).</div>
